AotR has a number of submods which seek to alter the game in different ways. Please note that most of these are unofficial projects, for which the AotR team will not directly assist with any bugs, errors, or balance issues. Please verify bugs on base AotR before submitting them. That said, partnerships have been formed with submod developers in some cases and we have been very impressed by some of their work.
